Fluoride Treatments From Your Dentist

A fluoride treatment at our office takes only a few minutes to complete. After the treatment, patients are typically advised not to rinse, eat, or drink for at least 30 minutes to allow the fluoride to fully absorb into the teeth.

Depending on your oral health needs or your dentist’s recommendation, fluoride treatments may be scheduled every three, six, or twelve months. In some cases, we may also recommend an at-home fluoride product, such as a mouth rinse or gel, to help maintain ongoing protection.

Choosing the Right Fluoride Treatment

When selecting an at-home fluoride product, such as toothpaste or mouthwash, look for the American Dental Association (ADA) Seal of Acceptance. Products with this seal have been carefully evaluated and approved by the ADA for both safety and effectiveness.
