During the procedure, the gums are gently lifted to expose the roots and surrounding bone. After cleaning the area, graft material, often from your own bone, is placed into the voids in the bone.

Once the procedure is complete, the gums are repositioned and stitched back together. Over the next few months, the graft material will encourage new bone and soft tissue growth, restoring the support needed to maintain your oral health.
